Ft. Walton Beach
The city of Fort Walton Beach, home to approximately 22,000 people, is bordered on the north by Eglin AFB and west by Hurlburt Field. Home of the Annual Billy Bowlegs Festival each June, when the renowned pirate, Billy Bowlegs returns to his old stomping grounds. The Indian Temple Museum and the Camp Walton schoolhouse museum are two downtown highlights.
Niceville/Valparaiso
Niceville is a small town nestled along the northern shore of Choctawhatchee Bay with a population of 11,815. Niceville boasts an endless variety of recreation activities. Home to the annual "Boggy Bayou Mullet Festival", Niceville sees 343 days of sunshine each year. Valparaiso, "Northwest Florida's Vale of Paradise" is snuggled between the east gates of Eglin Force Base and Niceville and has a population of 6,534.
Destin
"The World's Luckiest Fishing Village" is located six miles east of Ft. Walton Beach. The city with a population of 8,514 has a rich history, beautiful weather, outstanding fishing and is one of the top five offshore shelling destinations in the world.
Navarre
Navarre began as a tiny farming and fishing village. Navarre is one of the fastest growing spots in Northwest Florida. Visit The Zoo and The Nature Walk, and the Butterfly House.
